Welcome to the official website for the two Spring Break
Italy Soccer tours!
Soccer players and their
family will enjoy a cultural and sporting opportunity of a lifetime. A spring
break tour of Italy that includes skill development clinics with Italian
coaches, a tour of a famous stadium and tickets to see two live Series A soccer
matches. In addition to all the soccer we will visit Lake Como, Milan, Verona,
Venice, Bologna, Florence, Pisa and the Republic of San Marino.

Here are some quick facts
about the proposed tours
|
The Junior High Tour group is recommended
for players registered in grades 7-9 during 2011-12 in Alberta
|
The High School Tour group is recommended
for players registered in grades 10-12 during 2011-12 in Alberta.
|
As this is a skill development
tour, boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome. Maximum 28 players
per tour.
|
Each group may be split by gender
or skill level for training at the discretion of the tour leader if required.
|
A minimum of two Italian coaches
will work with each group per training session.
|
The tour includes six training
sessions, a tour of the San Siro Stadium in Milan and tickets to two Series
A matches.
|
The tour includes sightseeing
tours of Lake Como, Verona, Venice, Bologna, Florence and San Marino.
|
The proposed itinerary which is
detailed at the bottom of the page will be similar for both groups.
|
Each group will have it own tour
schedule, bus and guide on the tour. Hotels may be the same for both groups.
|
It is recommended that an adult
accompany each player. Some limited exceptions may be accepted.

Day 1, Friday
Meet at the Edmonton International Airport
Depart from Edmonton for Milan, Italy
|
Day 2, Saturday
Arrive in Milan Malpensa Airport
Meet your bilingual tour manager who will take care of all your needs during
your Italian tour.
Load the bus and depart for Lake Como.
Arrive in Como and check in to the hotel, short free time to relax
Depart for a short time downtown to explore the city. (time permitting)
Return to the hotel
Dinner at a restaurant or at the hotel, evening free
Overnight in Como area

Day 3, Sunday
Breakfast at the hotel
Depart for downtown for a three hour boat excursion on Lake Como including
a stop in Bellagio.
The boat tour is subject to weather conditions.
Free time in Como to sightsee, shop and for lunch on own
13:00 - Depart for Milan
Arrive at the San Siro Stadium and enjoy the food and souvenir kiosks
15:00 - Series A Match - AC Milan
vs AS Roma (ticket included)
Return to the hotel
Dinner at the hotel, evening free
Overnight in Como area

Day 4, Monday
Breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel
Morning depart for the soccer field
Morning training session for the
boys and the girls # 1 with Italian Coaches
Depart for downtown Milan (Piazza del Duomo)
Free time downtown to sightsee on own and have lunch on own
Be sure to visit the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuel II
Stop at the giant San Siro Stadium
in Milan home of AC Milan and FC Inter for a tour and visit of the clubs'
museum.
Entrance fee and guided tour included. Free time at the stadium shop.
Depart for Verona (about 3 hours)
Arrive in Verona, check in to the hotel
Dinner at the hotel, evening free
Overnight in Verona

Day 5, Tuesday
Breakfast at the hotel
Early morning depart for the sports center
Morning training session for the
boys and the girls # 2 with Italian Coaches
Transfer to Verona for lunch on your own
14:00 - Guided sightseeing tour of Verona, city of Romeo and Juliet
Free time to sightsee and shop on own
Depart for the hotel
Dinner at the hotel, evening free
Overnight in Verona

Day 6, Wednesday
Breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel
Depart for day trip to Venice
Arrive at the Tronchetto parking area and departure to the heart of Venice
(San Marco's square) by boat.
11:00 - Arrive at San Marco's square and guided visit of the city centre.
Lunch on your own.
Afternoon is at leisure for some shopping and sightseeing
16:00 - Return to the parking area and depart for the Republic of San Marino
Arrive in San Marino, check in to the hotel
Dinner at the hotel
Overnight in San Marino

Day 7, Thursday
Breakfast at the hotel
Early morning depart for the sports center
Morning training session for the
boys and the girls # 3 with Italian Coaches
Free time for lunch at a mall nearby (2 hours)
Afternoon training session for
the boys and girls # 4 with Italian Coaches
Transfer to the San Marino historical center for a guided sightseeing tour
Free time to sightsee and shop
Return to the hotel
Dinner at the hotel, evening free
Overnight in San Marino

Day 8, Friday
Breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel.
Early morning depart for the sports center
Morning training session for the
boys and the girls # 5 with Italian Coaches
Depart for Bologna
Arrive in Bologna, free time downtown for lunch on own
14:00 - Afternoon guided city and gourmet food tour of Bologna
Depart for the hotel in Tuscany (2 hours)
Check in to the hotel in Montecatini Terme
Overnight in Montecatini Terme

Breakfast at the hotel
Early morning depart for Coverciano (National Team Training Center if available)
If the training center is not available we will use another training facility.
Morning training session for the
boys and the girls # 6 with Italian Coaches
Depart for Florence
Arrive in Florence, free time downtown for lunch on own
14:30 - Afternoon guided walking tour of Florence
Afternoon is at leisure for some shopping and sightseeing
Depart for the hotel in Montecatini Terme
Dinner at the hotel
Overnight in Montecatini Terme

Breakfast at the hotel
Depart for Pisa for free time on own in the famous square with the leaning
tower
Free time in Pisa to sightsee, shop and have lunch on own
Depart for Florence
14:00 - Arrive at the Artemo Franchi Stadium and enjoy the food and souvenir
kiosks
15:00 - Series A Match Fiorentina
vs Chievo Verona (ticket included)
Return to the hotel
Dinner at the hotel, evening free
