About the Hockey and the Alps tour

Azorcan Tours is offering a hockey-focused European trip from Canada to Switzerland and Italy, centered around the prestigious Spengler Cup in Davos.

The group flies to Zurich on Boxing Day, enjoys a welcome dinner and city tour, then travels to Davos, where they stay through New Year’s Day. Guests attend six tournament games at the zondacrypto-Arena, including round robin, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the New Year’s Eve final. A New Year’s Eve dinner celebration follows the championship game.

After Davos, the tour continues to Lugano for sightseeing, including Monte San Salvatore and nearby Bellinzona. An optional Swiss League hockey game may be available.

The trip then visits Italy’s Lake Como, with stops in Bellagio, Varenna, and Como, before heading to Milan. In Milan, guests enjoy a guided city tour (including Sforza Castle) and may optionally attend a Serie A match featuring AC Milan or Inter Milan at San Siro Stadium.

The tour concludes with a return flight to Canada on January 5th.

Overall, the trip combines elite international hockey, scenic Alpine destinations, festive Christmas markets, and iconic Swiss and Italian cities.
